Move the seat forward a bit so that you can get the go pedal all the way to the floor.

I obey the speed limit, but I like to get there as quick as possible.

The only thing that is bad for these cars is wheel hop on acceleration. TO be avoided at all costs. It breaks things!

I don't break the speed limit, I just get to it faster!

You should too!

Any Advice????

If I had two of em, I would be running the dog crap out of one of them.
There are several very long, very black stripes in front of my house that will testify to the fact these cars are very capable of being "stomped on".
Now 140 on the Interstates is .
By the way, where does I65 run near Memphis?

I have about 7,500 miles on my 2004, six speed coupe. I don't think it's been to 3,000 RPMs yet. I bought it as a sporty economy car.

While habitual high-speed driving on public roads is to be avoided, no one should be castigated for taking their Vette over 125mph one time.

It won't hurt the car to give it some WOT every now and then. Plus, it will make you feel a whole lot better.

What about stomping on it from a dead stop?

Could you get severe wheel hop if tires bite hard and bust lots of stuff?

Go for it. Stomp on that puppy! Trust me, you won't break it. The only problem with my car when I stomp on it is that it goes more sideways than straight.

Is the wheel hop problem only with the run flats. If not what should I do to avoid it.

There really is nothing wrong with opening it up on the highway if you're not an idiot about. Obviously, with other cars around....

But a couple miles of open road with no other cars....no on ramps....straight line of sight....

Some people here are just so damn PC about things.....

Why bother to buy a Corvette if you aren't going to stomp on it occassionally? The car is made for it. Let 'er rip. You can thank me later.

Stomp on it. That's what it's made for. Just hold on when you do.

First pay attention to your surroundings, and if all is clear and safe. . .STOMP THAT ******! But only for a few seconds you'll need lots of time to come off the RUSH.
