Default Need help with replacing h/u (BOSE)!?!

Please, can someone help me!!

I bought PAC oem-1 wire harness interface to replace my factory cd player with an Alpine cd/mp3 model 7878. I was able to power up my Alpine, but speakers were very weak and static. On the PAC oem wiring diagram, it shows (EX. (left front (-) as white/black), (left front low (+) as white/red), and (left front high (+) as white). All four speaker wires are pair the same way.

I tried to connected only low and then only high, still i get very static and weak sound from my BOSE speakers.

These anyone went through this install before? Any ideas or suggestions is appreciated greatly!!!

picture for the interface i bought. Sorry. I still don't know how to post pic on thread yet: http://www.pac-audio.com/products/oem1.htm

Hung,

I am not familiar with the PAC-OEM1, and whether or not it will allow your new headunit to interface with your factory bose sub amps. When I upgraded my headunit, I went with the soundgate adapter and luckily did not have any problems. You might want to check the audio section, there are a few stickys there that answer a ton of commonly asked questions, you might find something on this adaptor. I would also recommend you do a search and perhaps post this over in the audio section. There are some really knowledgeable people that frequent that forum. Good luck, I know this may not have been much help but hey atleast it moved your thread up.

Either I missed it or Corvette is not listed on the application guide....

The wiring the vette is unique to the vette from what I've seen. That is why I scrapped the Blose and started from scratch. I used to be an installer and those interfaces NEVER work perfectly, I don't care what anyone says. Some are better than others, but they all have issues, be it now or later.

I don't think that the PAC OEM-1 is the correct wiring harness. I used the PAC ROEM-VET1 harness, however, I did have to connect the blue/white wire to +12 volt supply. I would suggest going to the audio section of this forum and do a search. Connecting this harness was discussed in great detail several months ago.
