soooooooooo...... the general consensus im getting here on the forum is that you will avoid buying a black Corvette, even if you like that color cause you feel its hard to keep clean ? Mother Nature has a way of ruining a good shine to any color after a just minutes, i like keeping my machines clean(Beatles lyric) wouldnt matter what color.almost like therapy, really!!

Where do you get that from? I love black I don't care how hard it is to keep clean!! I get alot of compliments on it to, all positive!!
As long as you keep them out of the rain, they really aren't that hard to keep clean. I drive mine almost every day, and all that is required is a quick hit with the Cali-duster. Once a week I'll hit it with some Zaino Z8. If there is some bird poop or something on it I'll give it a quick blast with some detail spray and a microfiber. No big deal at all!

Black shows dust and crud that completely disappears on other colors. It also shows swirl marks from washing/drying more than others. My last two have been black and just bought a black car for my wife... nothing looks better clean to me, but it's more work to keep it looking clean.

Not only did I not avoid buying a black Vette - I purposely bought one because it's black. I never considered any other color. It had to be black and a manual tranny! The fact that it's a convertible only makes it better in my opinion! I love it! The work that has gone into to it to make it look good was a labor of love!
It depends. If you are a young successful single guy like myself, you have no other choice than Black with chrome rims. It's pimp and it will get you the chicks. It's the same thing as my BBlack with Chrome rim Lincoln Aviator. It's a must for impressing a woman. Just last weekend I took a new girl out and she said the vette was sexy. That can only come from Black.

Wrong, Wrong, Wrong!
I love my black Vette and I enjoy washing it. When it gets dusty, I just run the California duster over it and it is beautiful again. Black Vettes have a sinister look to them that I love. I get all kinds of compliments on mine.
I love black! Wouldnt have it any other way! I beleive everyone should pay a little bit more respect to black vette owners for all they do it keep their ride lookin slick!
