Quite a few of us have had the headlight gear failure. the brass replacement gear is the fix if you're out of warranty.

Good to hear mone of it is spoiling your enjoyment.

This is just one cool car

post, good for you for taking the problems in stride. Several have dealt with the headlight issue, so you should be able to get that sorted. I would recommend that you deal with the windshield sooner rather than later. Small cracks turn into big cracks in very short order. A glass company should be able to inject a clear epoxy into it and fix it (nearly invisible) in about 20 minutes and $60.00 if you don't have glass coverage. It is a nice alternative to the windshield replacement.

Plastic gear is going. Again at least it is not the headlight motor! Good luck!

Had to replace my entire windshield - little rock chip in the corner one Saturday. Monday at lunch I was going to take it to have the fill fix done - window has 2 foot crack - $500 deductible down the drain.

If you possibly can, fix ASAP!

The brass headlamp gears (which replace the cheap flimsy plastic gears) are great. And, it definitely sucks to get a chip or a crack in the windshield. Get it fixed, or, replaced as soon a you can. Good luck.
