Just got "new" Z06 Z16. The brake ducts are cool, but tough to keep clean. Are there replacement ducts that are painted instead of plastic? Or whats the best way to keep them looking good?

If you are talking about the rear ones, the paint would soon be sand blasted off.
congrats on the Z16/Z06.mine is #1326.i use "303" on mine, and they stay pretty good looking.of course, picking the leaves, pine needles, etc. out of the screens is the real pain in the ***!
I agree, I had a terrible time keeping mine clean looking, even when they were new. I got a smudge of wax on them and the white streak would not come off. Then a friend showed me a clear product to wipe on it and it would instantly look like new!!! Sorry, but I cannot not remember the name. I will try to remember to look at the bottle tonight.
The other option that several folks around here have done is to have the brake duct painted to the color of the car. There is a shop here that does an excellent job. It looks really .
West Coast Corvettes has carbon fiber covers that replace the black surround of the ducts. I don't remember the price but I don't think they were cheap. However, they'll probably hold up okay.

Congrats on the Z16...
I just wipe mine off with Zaino Z6, the gloss enhancer and they look like new.

Vinyl/rubber protectant works fine for me. I use Griott's, but other brands should work.

I finally had time to look at what I use. It is called "Wet and Black" by Turtlewax. It works great on the breake ducks, but not very good on the tires. I recommend that you give it a try!
