Here in Phoenix I don't see many female Vette drivers. I occasionally cross paths with a C3 lady driver on my way into work. I have waved at her at least 10 times and have never gotten a wave back. I've given up. She doesn't get it. She's the only Vette I don't wave to. Coming, going, on the side, they all get waves.

I've had my 2001 MY 'vert for about two months now and I ALWAYS wave. I don't notice if males or females wave more.. but I do notice that C5's wave the most... C4's and C6's the least. C4 drivers mostly look grumpy and C6 drivers just look confused 
Oh.. and I'm female too!
Now.. do you do the "two fingers off the steering wheel wave" or the "hand out the window" wave? or the "two fingers raised to shoulder level" wave"
