OK Ladies...
Wassup with the wave ladies?
I figure that in the past few weeks, I have seen maybe 30 vettes. Of them 8 were driven by women. 22 of the vettes waved. 0 out of 8 for the ladies. (one of them actually gave me a look as though I had tried to grab her butt or something). Not like I care whether or not a woman waves to me (I am very happily married), but has anyone else noticed this?

I guess they just don't get that it is simply a friendly thing.
Personally I am more offended when another dude gives the snub. Then you just wonder what friggon planet he came from.

Yes, I agree. I now waved probably 40 times since getting the car a bit less than a month ago. I'd say about 10-15 have waved back. Kinda bums me out! I think the waves I do get are awesome, It's like I've arrived into some new wonderful "level of life"

I can give you an answer. I am a woman vette owner and for the first few weeks, I didn't know about the wave. Now, I try to wave but am not usually driving with my hand on the top of the steering wheel which makes it awkward. Do you wave at the ones behind you??? Do you wave at the ones beside you? You know us women, always worried about appearances!!!!

Any Corvette driver who passes me (a woman) while I'm driving the vette will get a wave! Heck, I want to wave to vette drivers when I'm not driving the vette. Perhaps most women don't wave because they don't know about it, i.e., they don't visit corvetteforum.com, et. al.?

same thing out here i have yet to get a wave from a female driver and i have seen as many females driving their or their husbands vettes as male drivers who do wave...
just makes me look like a chump when i wave and they dont and people next to me look at me like im crazy lol...

Here in CA... I would say 99% all wave..male or female... it is just a wave... Most the women... are really happy to be just driving a vette..and if you have one... they get it.. that you are just saying... "Hey cool car"... Guess in CA we have more "Car" people...

They wave over here in europe , not only Corvette owners but sommetimes other people to , especially kids .
Kids wave because they are so spontainious , I think more people want to wave or react but grown ups tend to loose that spontanious toutch .
Anyway getting a wave or thumbs up give's you a warm feeling inside and giving one to ....
