The cranes' worked great on my car.
If you go with the 1.8:1 ratio you will need better springs; I went with Comp 918's. Alot better than the stock springs, and not too much tension on your timing chain.
Programming isn't necessary with these rockers, as they do not put your A/F ratios too far out of the computers adjustment range.
I went with the Yalla Terra shaft mounted roller rockers in 1.8 ratio. Changed to 918 springs at the same time & gained RPM & HP. No guide plates needed with these & no rocker cover mods either.
Has anyone used the crane 1.8 rocker if yes do they work on a stock LS1 without changing the springs and do you need to reprogram the computer.
You must change the springs. Stock springs are marginal to start with. You will end up floating valves in the upper RPM and could have major damage. The Crane dual springs are a good setup as well.
