MSI is taking my car Nov. 8th. They will do all the things that need to go along with the install. However, I wanted to know, on stock 2001 6spd, what cam would you get. Not looking to take her to the drags, just looking to get some good power.
Another option I have is to do headers.
Thanks for all the help,
PS Vararam went in yesterday,Car is getting brakes done at MSI next week, shocks and sways will be ordered on Tuesday. Thinking QA1 shock, Hotchkis sway.

I would do the headers before the cam. The stock exhaust system is pretty restrictive and will limit gains with the cam. If you are interested in an increase in power without the pro stock idle, then go with a cam around 224 duration or a little less. Should be good for about 40rwhp.
not often done, but will gain more hp, spend the $$ on some good heads(afr, dart, edelbrock, the latter 2 due out shortly)or ls6 heads(commonly found for around $700)and do the cam/head swap then the header later on
on an '01 you already have the same cast iron exhaust manifolds as the z06 that flow as well as shorties
