My wife has been driving her vette to work a little more lately and yesterday morning and today the seat moved by itself while she was driving.
She said it moved forward and up. Like it was going to another preset. But none of the presets I checked last night are like that. Plus I dont think if you hit a preset button while driving it will do anything.
I do know we have one seat code. I cant remember the number but it sets anytime you try to rock the seat forward, which is something we dont do anyways, since it just feels awkward to have it tipped like that.
I figured it was due to maybe a switch on the side since that plastic is broken like most other c5 owners.
Anyone ever have this problem before? I checked codes on it last night when she first told me about it and I just saw the one code. I will look again tonight though.
I have the same problem, i just put the seats where i like them and unplugged them both. I dont have time to fix them since i am going to school full time and working a part time job
Actually this is the motors moving the seats and not the rocking seat. we have that as well. I just havent found it bothersome enough to tear the seat out yet .
So GTSLN97 you jsut unplugged yours? I guess that would work. But I really rather would keep the seats functional. Its just weird the motors would want to all of a sudden kick in and move the seat forward and up.
I was going to do it when I replaced my seat foam but you either have to have the seat cover off or have the correct tool. I believe if you make the seat as tall as you can before removing it you can maybe get to the the bolts thave to be removed on the seat track. At the time I didn't have the correct tool to get if out.

Same here, the driver's seat motor will move you forward & up, right into the steering wheel. Great fun, especially when you're in the middle of a corner.
