Default Window Sticker MPG?

Just a question about the reported MPG on your window sticker. I ordered my original sticker from the NCM 2 weeks ago and just recieved it today. To my surprise, it read 17 city and 25 highway...I have a '97 6 speed. I thought I saw somewhere that the sticker for manuals read 28 for highway, I forget about city. Did they improve the fuel economy estimations on the newer c5 vette? Maybe this has to do with the updates they made in 2001? Or maybe the fuel delivery system? Seems like the changed cams and everything else every year so...Not that this really matters as I was hitting 28-30mpg on my trip to the NCM. Just kind of surprised me... What do your window stickers read?

I would contact Betty at the NCM about this. I believe it is a mistake. Ordered my window sticker several months ago and in comparing it to the one off my windshield I found a mistake in the total price. Looking closer I found that the high polish wheels ($1295) were added to the price which is normally correct, but not on an '04 Comm Ed coupe. HP alum. wheels are included in the Comm Ed pricing. Betty agreed and sent me a new laminated sticker at their cost. My A4 is rated at 18/25 but I have achieved 28.4mpg on long trips with a 3.15 diff.!!

This is what I was wondering...Thanks! My vette was number 328 in '97 and it was ordered directly for GM...the sticker actually shows it being delivered directly to warren,mi at the tech center!! But these numbers seemed strange...im wondering if I got the automatic mpg on my 6 speed sticker. Id like to see a 97 or 98 6 speed window sticker...from someone else...

My sticker for my '98 shows 18/27 for an MN6. I'm looking at it framed on the wall next to me, too.

C5 mileage estimates have varied some for the different model years and based on whether the car was equipped with auto or standard transmission.

For model years 1998 through 2004, see Specifications for each of the model years at the following link:

Corvette Model Center

For model year 1997, see Specifications for the 1997 model year at the following link:

Hope this helps.

Not to hijack the thread, but is there a site to punch in the vin and see the sticker. Or is the NCM the only place to get this info.
