I don't have Kooks headers, but mine are ceramic and have held up extremely well during the 2 years that I've had them. Ceramic won't discolor and should help dissipate heat.

Mine are coated, Jethot charges about 279.00 to do the header pipes. They look great, and really help cut down on the heat.Sure the STainless Steel will not rust, but it does turn all kinds of color when heated up...since the stainless steel is thinner than the stock iron manifolds, they give off a lot of heat.
