Sorry to hear of your troubles...

Find a local Corvette club and get recommendations from them about the best independent Corvette shop in your area. Then go by there and talk to the owner and mechanics and get a feel for the place.

In the Puget Sound area, we're lucky to have 2 or 3 good ones to choose from...

Good luck.

Most dealer profits now come from the service dept. I don't think most care if you write a letter or not.

I see on other posts warrantydirect.com is supposed to be good. Anyone have experience with them? The price is right!

Be careful with indepent shops also..I used one who came highly recommended, of course he ends up in a nasty divorce right in the middle of doing work to my car!!! He got sloppy and I ended up having to take him to court!!!

They called Me and said the column lock malfunctiond and car would not go over 2MPH. ( They did the recall fix almost a year ago and I never had any problem at all ) I didn't have a problem before the recall.
Well that was another $191.27 for a lock actuator plus $114.04 for a harness that they installed at recall time.
My bill for a stupid window repair cost me $1,392.80 with laber and tax.
I have to go back in the morning because now My CD 12 pack changer does not work at all.
I just know they are going to say that the CD changer not working is a coincidence like they said the column lock was. Everything worked just fine except for the window when I went in.
Oh yea!!! The key fob did not work when I stoped at Sams club on the way home but I know how to reset it so it was not a big deal.
The door and window was filthy dirty.
I really hate going back tomorrow for the CD player run around I'm sure I will get but I don't have much choice.

I did call GM to inform them of my feeling of being way overcharged and why should I have to pay for a column lock repair that the dealer did less then a year ago at the recall.
If I don't get a decent explenation from GM I will call the dept of consumer affairs and file a complaint.
"Go ahead make my day"
