How do you mount used Body Side Moldings? Do you scrape off the old tape and apply new tape? If so, whats the easiest way to remove the old tape, and, where do you buy the new tape? Thanks John

Best way to mount BSM's is to carefully roll them up and place them in a round garbage can. They fit nicely in there.

There is a reason that the C6 doesn't offer BSMs..... GM finally figured out that they don't belong on Corvettes.
Indeed. The only thing BSM is going to protect you against is another Corvette owner opening his door into you - not a likely circumstance. Anything else would more likely hit above the BSM. And on top of that, they're hideous.
Hey, don't listen to the crap you'll surely be getting. BSM saves your paint=$$$$.
Defensive parking will save your paint more than BSM's. But if you car is a daily driver then dings are just part of ownership, for any vehicle. BSM's might help some, but it really depends on the height of the vehicle that hits you as to where it hits you.

BSMs are painted. They, too, will show the effects of getting banged -- and they're attached to your car. So, if the BSMs look like hell, but your door doesn't, but the BSMs are attached to your door, then what purpose does having them on the car serve?
Furthermore, I'd say they invite more doors to be rested against your door than if you didn't have them on the car. I think people would be more inclined to rest a door against that little "bumper" than if there were nothing there at all. That being said, some people just don't care about other people's property either way.
