That's close Silver98. Someone a few posts up has access to a website that gives born on dates, maybe he will look it up for you. Also we are close in our own personal birthdates.
Monday 10/13/97 started production with VIN 8277
Thursday 10/16/97 started production with VIN 8677
I'm guessing yours was born on 10/15/97.

Build Date Question
Hope this helps.
Based on a chart I found at http://www.c5registry.com/MembersOnl...2004/index.htm I think my build date is September 26, 2003.

2000 DBG 'vert - #17511
99 Convertible
Birthday 12/22/98
vin ending in 116303
Only 13 more '99's were made in calender year 98. vin 116316 was last out the door before holiday shutdown.
ps - I found a link that allows you to find your exact born on date. not sure if I can post it or not - it is a back way into a website to a "members only" section of the website.
he he he!!! tons of cool info in there. you guys would love it!!! (snip)...
started production with vin 11963 that day.To further illustrate what I'm saying, look at post numbers 13 and 21 by Dr. Dan above. If you look at the web site you're using as reference, you should see that his car's VIN (#26241) most likely started through the Trim Department on Friday, Mar 21, 2003. However, from the GM Vehicle Inquiry System (VIS), it was determined that the actual build date for his car was Monday Mar 24, 2003. (Note: The web site also erroneously lists that Monday as Mar 22, when the actual date was Mar 24.) Your own car is another good example of this. I would agree that for it's VIN your car (#116303) most likely started through Trim on 12/22/98. However, with your car's VIN only being some 13 units away from VIN #116316 which the site says was the last car built on 12/23/98 before the Holiday, I would think it much more likely that your car was completed/built on 12/23/98 than 12/22/98.
There may be other ways, but the only way that I'm aware of for one to find the actual build date for their car is from the GM Vehicle Inquiry System (VIS). GM dealers and some of the members here on this Forum have access to inquire GM VIS.
Lastly, the numbers shown in red in the far right column for some of the model years at the site you're referencing are the planned units for build for that production day, NOT the actual number of units built. One might compare the Job Numbers for the start of that day with the Job Number for the start of the next production day for some idea of the cars that were produced on any production day. However, even this may not give you actual numbers as you are comparing Job Numbers at the start of Trim rather than at the end of the production line. On the car's build sheet, the Job Number appears as the Sequence Number. The Sequence Number is the number that really shows the sequence in which the later year Corvettes (C5/C6s) were built more so than the last 5 digits of the VIN. But then, that's another story for another day.
Hope this helps.

Good luck.

I would agree with you that this website is certainly not exact 100% of the time, but most will probably be that day or the next. All depends on the definition of "Born On" - started or finished" Maybe an easier and more exact method would be to call this thread "Conceived Together Corvettes" ???
Build Date Question
Hope this helps.

RVETTE

"Production started 06/29/1999 for the 2000 model year. And the plant was shutdown July 3-19th (I think they do that every year) so mine was actually built on the 14 day of production for the 2000 model year."
It could be the very first build triple black convertible for 2000!
