It could be the very first build triple black convertible for 2000!

However, from the GM Vehicle Inquiry System (VIS), it was determined that the actual build date for his car was Monday Mar 24, 2003. (Note: The web site also erroneously lists that Monday as Mar 22, when the actual date was Mar 24.)

Hope this helps.
Great info...thanks
The 24th is the build date that SpongeVette reported. Right on Sponge.

Thanks for the link to the registry!

Found out that my car was the 117th of 148 to roll off the line on the 2nd of January, 01.

My Dad's '98 Vert was #8 of 143 on 9/24/97 Vin# 06331.

Based on a chart I found at http://www.c5registry.com/MembersOnl...2004/index.htm I think my build date is September 26, 2003.

Again guys, I think you may be misinterpreting the information at this web site. The information that you're looking at really only gives you an indication of the VINs that started through the Trim Department that day, NOT the ones that actually came off the assembly line or had that day as their build day. See my reply at post #113 on page 6 above.

You can find your actual build date by having your dealer inquire the GM Vehicle Identification System (VIS) for it's History and Build Info. Also several people on this Forum have access to GM's VIS. If you can't get your dealer to do this for you, post a request on C5 General along with your VIN and hopefully one of them will come along and inquire this data for you.

Good luck.

Only 13 more '99's were made in calender year 98. vin 116316 was last out the door before holiday shutdown.

ps - I found a link that allows you to find your exact born on date. not sure if I can post it or not - it is a back way into a website to a "members only" section of the website. he he he!!! tons of cool info in there. you guys would love it!!!

Found this on there to answer some of your questions:

August 19, 1998 The C5 (Bowling Green) Assembly Plant is currently producing 15 C5's an hour. They are working 10 Hr. days Monday Through Thursday and 8 Hr. days on Fridays and occasionally an 8 Hour Saturday. This means on a "NORMAL" work week they Produce 840, C5's a WEEK !!!!! with the Occasional Saturday adding another 125, C5's to a weeks total.
