Exhaust killing my engine???
I was involved in a traffic accident the other day. The front got smashed up, but is repairable. The driveability of the car seemed normal at first, but when I reved up to make sure, the engine suddenly lost power at 5000 rpm, and there was a scary noise from the rear of the car...
Is it consievable that something inside the exhaust has moved around and is destroying the airflow at higher RPM?
My dealer is eventually going to find out, but I just need some peace of mind right now...
A damaged engine block wouldn't work normally at low RPM and then cut out above 5000 RPM, or would it???
Whatever you do, don't crash your Vette - It's NO fun at all!

I just got mine back after a frontal crash.
It is very conceivable that the airbox or airbridge got dislodged and allowing unmetered air into the engine which could do a whole host of strange engine operating things.
