That's a win-win situation. You've got plenty of time to mod.

- Apply your half to an exhaust.

If you do the install yourself you should have enough doe to do an intake and exhaust. Check with the forum vendors for the best prices and shop around,

If money is an issue, do the most expensive one first with your windfall, since you'll never know if you will win another! the smaller mods can be done piecemeal....That's how I'd do it!
Congrats!

Congratulations
As much as I'd like to put the money in the vette, it'd still be about $9k short
Being a gambling man, I'd go out and get the wife $1000 in new lotto tickets

1) Exhaust
2) Z06 airbox
3) Whatever the wife has been wanting (and not a new vacuum cleaner.)

Oh man... I am the master of failed relationships
This sounds like a total test to me. If you want to keep this girl... forget the vette for now and take her on a four day cruise out of port canaveral. they are around 800-900.00. She may just be trying to find out what is more important to you.

1st take the money to Victoria's S. and get some stuff the 2 of you will injoy. then get the mod money later, in the long run you will be happy with this decision. otherwise you will feel funny about it and long term she may also. yea it is a test.

Half to the wife, the rest to something like a used exhaust, or a new intake.

I would give the ticket back to the Mrs. and tell her how much you appreciate her. After all,you can always scratch up the cash, but a real lady like the one you have is so hard to find.Believe me,I'm lookin'.

Thanks for all the input. I'm going with the exhaust first. Used if I can find it. And then something nice for the wife, maybe a K&N, just kidding. Whatever I do, I'll post with pics. Thanks

1) Put some letters on the passenger airbag and get an exhaust plate.
2) Do the $40 A&A Exhaust mod
3) Lower 1" on stock bolts
4) Low-temp thermostat
5) Window Valet from Top-Down Technologies

Take the remaining 750$ and organize/find a nice weekend run to go on with the wife.

She's a keeper.....I got one too---but she always wants to drive. "Can I drive now? Can I drive now?"

Buy your wife a very nice gift and then spend the left overs on your car. A wife like that must be kept happy! You are a blessed man!

Made me think of my lovely lady...she has done the same kind of thing for me over our 23 years of marriage. My recipe for a happy marriage is: "What my wife wants, my wife gets"! It must work because she is still hangin with me!

Thanks for the replies. It took a little while, but I was able to do what most suggested. Found Corsa Indy exhaust for $300 and Bassani X Pipe for $200 = $500 total on the forum. That leaves the other half for the wife!!!!!!!!

What a sweetheart, I love this gal !! Now what would you do first?? This is a list of items that I want to change:

Air Cleaner - Not sure which one
Exhaust - Corsa Pace Car
Rims - Chrome C6
Brakes - Sloted/Drilled rotors with ceramic pads and paint calipers

Any other suggestions ?? Thanks
First thing I would do is do something great for my wife then go buy the exhaust
