Default What Would You Do ????

Well, I bought my 2000 convertible 3 weeks ago. Its completly stock, so I have been thinking of some modifications, but am little short of cash since I just purchased the car. My wife and I just came back from Florida. On the way she bought one of those scratch game tickets, she won $1,000. Since I have been talking about making some mods on the vette, she gave me the whole check and said have fun!!!!
What a sweetheart, I love this gal !! Now what would you do first?? This is a list of items that I want to change:

Air Cleaner - Not sure which one
Exhaust - Corsa Pace Car
Rims - Chrome C6
Brakes - Sloted/Drilled rotors with ceramic pads and paint calipers

Any other suggestions ?? Thanks

I'd spend half on the Vette and the other half on the Wife
That's a win-win situation. You've got plenty of time to mod.

As much as it pains me to say so, . You should be able to pick up a lightly used exhaust for 500 give or take.

Exhaust: Stingers or GHL, you'll love the sound! I'd also paint the rotors, inexpensive and well worth it!

Donaldson Blackwing(Robert~Speed Demon~), frame savers and rocker rails(Andy~A&A)

Then I'd take the leftover $700 and buy the wife a nice gift

If it were my money I'd do the intake and exhaust. With a grand the B&B bullets (which are awesome, I've got em on my Z) and one of the 250 dollar intakes, such as the vortex rammer, will cost you around 900 after shipping. Do the install yourself to save money and go ahead and lower the car on the stock bolts while you're workin on it. When all the works done take you're awesome wife out for a night of fun with the car and a nice dinner. What u do after that is up to you Good luck with the mods!

Looks like you have a keeper..! Get an intake system, some drilled/slotted rotors, ceramic pads and give the wifey the other half of the money. That way, you see, you'll score a few points and will be assured that the next extra dough will be for your new Corsa Pace car exhaust with pro-tips.

Good idea. My vote would be for a used Z06 Ti off a CF member. Then put the rest towards a gift for the wife. Christmas IS right around the corner....

Yeppers,...thats the ticket! you might want to start at the start! Lower your temps and put a mild performance program 1, Throttle body by-pass tube $20, 2,*160 thermostat $30 3, handheld programer (used is OK for your year!) $175 everyone has a favorite mine is Hyper-tech but there all good for different things 4, a good cold air intake $200 there are lots and lots right on this beloved FORUM have fun!

I'm not married but if I were, and she did that, I do the above. Christmas is right around the corner and there’s plenty of time for hints.

See the name to the left... But mine relates to Borla Stingers.

Give the wife some of it by way of a very nice gift...maybe some now and the rest at Christmas if you want... but it will pay you nice dividends down the road with her...

I'd get a Z06 air box lid, K&N, and Sportbarkes rotors, (all totaled less than $500) and then give the rest of the money to that wonderful woman. She sounds pretty special.
