I "dreamed" I was on the expressway running 75 mph, when this Ram air TA went passed me @ about 80 mph. I "dreamed" that I wanted to run him but my exit was coming up too quickly, but the next time I "dream" I'll just take the next exit.
Well let me start off by telling you all those cars are strong cars and pack some heat, I do a lot of street racing here in Cali and it has a lot too do with the driver of the car, also you talking from a stop or on the roll or 1/4 mile or on the freeway? I raced a mustang Cobra, supercharged and kicked his *** on the freeway the other night, by 155 I was hitting my hazards and he was 3 cars behind me!!!!
I own a C-5 vert. with A-4 and 3.15 gears. I was woundering if these cars could beat me.
1. Trans Am With ram air
2. Camaros with ls1
3. 400 hp GTOs
4. 05 mustang w/300 hp motor
I run an A4 with 2.73 gearing and 320HP at the rear wheels (385HP @ engine) and I have autocrossed against all 4. Only the GTO was close to my lap time and I still beat it by a two and a half seconds on a 1.2 mile course. And yes, we were both on street tires (non-runflats) and this was before I upgraded my stock suspension (I would love to run against them again with my new setup). Those cars simply don't have the suspension to keep up.
In a straight line, who cares? Anyone can be perfect for one 1/4 mile run. Lets see them do that 8 times on a 1.2 to 1.7 mile course.
