Default C5 operating engine temp

Hey guys, I am in fear that my C5 is running too hot all the time.

What is the normal operating temp of a stock '98 C5?

thanks!

I watch my oil temp more than anything but water temp usually runs around 200. Oil hits 220 to 230 depending on the weather and the driving, city highway fast slow etc.

I have a Vinci fan switch so I never go over 208 with the stock thermostat. I don't like the idea of the colder thermostats. Anyhow, if you are struggling to keep down the temp, pull the top plastic cover on the radiator (4 10mm bolts) and you will likely find lots of stuff in the radiator block air flow. Normal fan on for a stock car is around 228 degrees though.
