I know a few people that have reprogrammed the shift light in the HUD for the skip shift light. Some say you can see it pretty good? Pretty interesting though, because I didn't know you could substitute it.
I have reprogramed my gags as my launch rpm light. You can see it with perphial vision. I could never find the hud light, so I purchased a Raptor. However, I have gone back to using the stock tach as I can time my shifts better than using the Raptor.

I'd get my launch technique down first, because if you can't launch properly, you can transfer all the weight you want but it won't help at all....
Removing the sway bar will remove a little bit of weight, but it helps the car squat back & down to help with traction on your launches....which can hurt sometimes too. Explained below.
Yesterday at Etown, I aired my ET Streets up to 22psi, was launching at 5400-5500 rpm's & still couldn't spin them...Sway bar removal would only had served to bog me down some more...
just my .02$ worth.
