I'm about to change the engine idler pulley and had a couple of questions.
1. How diffcult is it to change? (just recently changed the tensioner pulley wasn't too bad)
2. How long should it take to change out?
3. What's the torque value for installation? (I plan to buy a service manual soon)
4. It appears that the best way to remove it is to reach it from the top (driver side), but is there any tricks/tips that would make removal/installation easier?
squeeky pulleys & vettes seem to coexist more or less peacefully. maybe post this in the tech forum. i need mine done too but can never figure out which end of a wrench to hold....bub
Which idler pulley? The A/C belt idler or the accessory belt idler? At any rate, both of them are changed from the top of the engine and both are torqued to 37 foot pounds.
The idlers are a piece of cake to change compared to the tensioners.
