Default Sunvisor Mounted Dvd Screen

I bought this sunvisor dvd screen and single disc dvd player from ILOVEVETTES05 (Kyle) a few weeks back. I want to extend a big thanks to Kyle for guiding me through the installation. I had a chance to install it this past weekend and wanted to share a few shots. All in all the installation was relatively easy. I had to buy an aftermarket antenna adapter to use an FM modulator with the dvd player. This way sound is projected through the Bose system. It is very cool, much like surround sound.

At first there was a whining sound in the stereo system when playing a dvd and the car was running. This was most noticible upon acceleration, I believe as a result of the alternator. However, I installed a filter (I highly recommend this) and the whining dissappeared. Now I can play movies with crystal clear surround sound.

It is mounted in the passenger side sunvisor. The screen was already mounted in the visor when I purchased it.

I mounted the eye for the remote control on the passenger side A-pillar.

Mounted the dvd player in the passenger footwell. I wanted better access than I would have had if I mounted it in the rear compartment.

Cool mod! One question though, what happens when you flip it up? Is it above the windshield? I would there there'd be the chance of being hit by a small rock or flying road debris with the roof off.

That is very cool, but isnt it awkward looking up at the ceiling?

Not at all. It is mounted right as the roof slopes down. Sitting in the Vette it is just like looking the rear view mirror, just a little higher. Works great!
