This may be a dumb question but.....I have a spare (bad) Z06 rim I want to make a clock out of for the garage. Can the guts from any clock work or does it have to come from the same size/diameter as the rim to keep the right time? I was thinking of making longer hands so they would almost reach the outer edge of the rim.
Thanks
as said before, if you use a simple little clock to get you peices from, they might be able to handel the big ands you would be using. I might have to find a clock that is already big. Or find a way to made big hands, but make them very light.
Also I was thinking about making a clock out of a wheel, and I would trim off every thing behind the outer edge of the wheel, that way your wheel doent sit a foot deep from the wall, ono abour 1.5".
here is my 1st test fit. I used a clock at work. And everything went great.
Now I just have to go to the store and pick up some clocks to use.
Sorry for the bad pic, but the digital camera we hav at work is about 10 years old but you get the idea.
