I'm a noob, but I've notice the same thing.
In fact, I've gotten as many waves from Mustang drivers as from C6 drivers.
(Hint: It's a nice round number!)

You haven't passed me yet... I think many C6 drivers are in their first Vette and just don't know the traditions. Keep waving and eventually they will catch on. Remember, the article above was written in 1969 lamenting the death of the wave with all the new C3 drivers on the road. Same thing with any new generation.
I read all the time about vet drivers not being to each other I guess I live in a place becouse up here in the mountains every one seems to smile and wave but most of us dont get to drive year 'round

I am a C5 driver and i always wave unless the car is going to fast buy me and the other person does not see me wave.But when i wave i stick my arm way out the window so if they are going slow they can see me.I was at a drive in bank one day and a vette was next to me cant wave then so i tooted my horn sure scared the heck out of the guy but he waved.
