I installed my short shifter today. When I'm in higher rev's (3K and up) , I get a vibration, especially in 3rd. I know that the stock shifter made some noise, but went away when you put your hand on it. This does too, it just seems like the vibes are alot stronger. Could this bee because of the stiffer springs?

could be the springs. ive got a B&M in my Z and dont notice any increased vibration. you may wanna take it back apart and make sure all the bolts and what not r in there right. good luck!
You, like many of us have eliminated the the reason why the stock shifter is so rubbery-feeling. All that isolation rubber that GM builds into the shaft greatly reduces the amount of vibration, while at the same time, destroys the direct-connect feel that we love. There are many ways to calm down that vibration and using an elastomer to isolate is a central part of any solution.
EH,..................GEE,.....I dont know, I put the "hurst" shifter in and,........ no increase in anything,..... but ,.....responce check your settings maybe it isnt seating properly
I have a Hurst and did the tennis ball mod. I cut a tennis ball in half and made a X cut in the top half and slid it down the shaft of the shifter. I don't know if it made a difference or not since I did it when I installed the shifter, but I don't have any noises. Oh, and I put a MOMO shift **** on it.

I have the exact same set-up but with the Hurst Q-Ball **** and zero noises or vibrations.
