Hey Grumpy,
This is a problem with the new cluster, when the load is high (a lot of people searching), when you post a new thread/post it does not show up immediately. So when the page refreshes (which happens every time after you post), you get this error message.
If you were to wait 10-20-30 seconds (depending on how bad the backlog is), your topic / post will show up. If you don't wait, and post again - you will get a dupe (the forum check against dupes is unfortunately circumvented by the same delay problem).
We've been working on this for the past couple of hours, and will continue until fixed - hopefully within an hour.

I have found that if you do not go back and resubmit your post you do not duplicate post when you get the error about "no specified forum".
