Sounds like a good deal.

IMHO,
Don't think my price will ever be as high as a chrome one tho
But they sure do look good

I talked to Greg (Kewl) at Funfest this year about the cover, and specifically, why he pulled it from the site. . He never mentioned anything about any heat/quality issues with the manifold cover, only that the unexpected high demand and very long lead times from the plater is what caused him to not advertise it any more. I have continued to send people his way when asked about it because of his explanation to me.
My chrome plenum cover has been on almost 2 years with no issues whatsoever. The finish is just as flawless as the day I got it. Chrome doesn't bubble from heat, only from poor adhesion to the part - a prep problem, and i'm even skeptical about that as the reason. I don't know how the fact it's plastic affects this matter, but based on the size and contours of the part, I can definitely understand the difficulty in obtaining a perfect finish on it, and knowing very well that Greg won't send out a flawed part to his customers, I'm sure he rejects a lot of what he receives, and thus, the delays and excuses start. You can't tell people 3 weeks delivery knowing you have a 4-6 week lead time from the plater, and then reject some of it when it does arrive from the plater.
Unless he can build some stock ready-to-ship (which is probably what he's doing now), it's not a good situation for anyone, and likely the real reason it's no longer advertised.
