I know it is a cheesy 80's movie but it is in a weird way a coming of age for me, both in the Corvette and well you know. Now I am a young 36, so help me out guys.

It is a 70s movie, I am a young 37 and just rember that it had luke skywalker in it
Well it's kind of ironic. I just bought my first ever Corvette in September 05 and then Corvette Summer is released on DVD. Go figure, as a kid this movie opened my eyes to what a Corvette was. My Uncle also had if I remember correctly a 68 and 70 model. So I guess it was a path I would follow, eventually.
If you saw the movie once a long time ago, you'll remember why you didn't want to see it again. One of the most horrendous looking cars built. Not to mention a corny story. Was probably a good movie during the era. Entertaining to see once, at least for me. STW.

I've seen the car at Mid-America's facility also. That was a wild looking custom. As for the movie, kind of corny, but still featured a Corvette so it can't be all bad.
When I was 16 I had a job working for a neighbor who sold Corvettes on consignment. I was paid $100/wk washing and doing remedial tasks on the lot. That was back in '83. I have yet to have a better job. I drove a restored '58, 63,68,70,71,73, I beleive a '77 but have a hard time remembering all them. What I remember most is whenthe new '83 arrived. When no one else was around I would sit in that car and crank up the Bose stereo and daydream it was mine. Ah, memories.
