1.) Pewter, Black interior.

2.) Red, Black interior.

3.) Auto, No, it really didn't influence my purchase.

4.) Coupe, I also liked the convertible.

5.) Standard suspension.

6.) 1SA, No.

7.) None

Price definately a factor in purchase decision...

[QUOTE=MeHeartCorvettes]I have been asked to do a very basic research project for one of my classes, and I've decided to do it on something I am passionate about: Corvettes I really need and appreciate everyone's input, so please bear with me for a few questions:

1.) What color is your C5? (exterior and interior) Pewter/Blk/Gray Int

2.) Would you have purchased it in any other color combinations? If so, which ones? NOPE - Black interior shows every little speck.

3.) Does your C5 have an automatic or manual transmission? Did this influence your purchase decision? Manual - ordered it that way

4.) Is your C5 a Coupe, Convertible, or Z06? Would you have purchased any of the other models besides the one that you have? Ordered a vert but wanted ZO6 in a vert. Best of both worlds. Settled for the vert.

5.) Which suspension option do you have? (Standard, Z51, F45, F55) Would you have purchased the car with a different suspension? The softest whatever the hell that was. I didn't buy it for racing.

6.) Which option group does your C5 have? (1SA, 1SB, 1SC) Would you have purchased the car without some of the options in this preferred group? Man if I knew I'd have had to study for this I would have. HUD, Memory, 12 disk, Polished Wheels, ......You plug in the numbers

7.) Last but not least, if you were unable to purchase a C5 with all of the above mentioned desireable options, would you have considered purchasing another car? If so, which make and model? No way. It took me 25 years to get another one. 5 bass boats came first. With 3 women in the house (wife & 2 daughters) one needed to have an out.

*LAST MINUTE ADDITION: How big of a factor was the price? At what price (on the high end) would you have considered not purchasing the vehicle? Big if saving 2K. I was ready for a plane ride to pick up the vehicle and went to a local dealer with car build sheet in hand. I said meet it or beat it. They beat it. I ordered the car after conferring with the 2nd local dealer. First one said "We don't discount vettes".

Thank you everyone for your time. This is definitely my kind of homework Hope you guys have fun with it and are looking forward to seeing the results as much as I am.

1. LeMans Blue/Black
2. Considered Torch Red/Cashmere Wasn't available in Z06 I bought
3. Manual - Considered auto, but this isn't daily driver so manual was the only way to go
4. Z06 Comm Ed, considered Coupe, but after driving Z06 had to have it
5. Comes only one way.
6. 1SC - Commerative Edition, actually would have been nice to have sport seats available, but not offered for weight savings. Like all the other options with the package.
7. If not the C5, I would have waited for the '06 C6 Coupe.
8. Bought the car from the original owner, offered him 2K below his asking price, which was my max and after two days, he accepted. The price was a little higher than I originally wanted to spend, but to get the Z06 CE for a couple grand more than what I would have spent on a coupe was worth it.

Good luck on your research paper.

Default My '04 CE coupe

1.) LeMans Blue/Shale
2.) Yes, Magnetic Red/Black or Gray, but only if I couldn't find a CE.
3.) A4. Yes, I flip/flopped several times before settling on the Auto for convenience.
4.) Coupe, No. Wanted the coupe.
5.) FE1 - SUSPENSION SYSTEM-SOFT RIDE. Yes...was looking for the Magnetic controlled suspension.
6.) 1SC. No, this was my top choice.
7.) I originally started looking for the new 2005 Mustang GT. However, due to its popularity and pricing, I steered towards a used 'Vette and believe I got much more car for the money! Only paid $36K for my 04 CE coupe with 17,000 miles!

1.) What color is your C5? (exterior and interior)
Nassau Blue / Black
2.) Would you have purchased it in any other color combinations? If so, which ones?
Nassau Blue / Tan
3.) Does your C5 have an automatic or manual transmission? Did this influence your purchase decision?
A4 - Preferred A4 - would have jumped on the right MN6
4.) Is your C5 a Coupe, Convertible, or Z06? Would you have purchased any of the other models besides the one that you have?
Coupe - Didn't want anything else
5.) Which suspension option do you have? (Standard, Z51, F45, F55) Would you have purchased the car with a different suspension?
Z51 - Would have settled for Standard if other reqirements were met
6.) Which option group does your C5 have? (1SA, 1SB, 1SC) Would you have purchased the car without some of the options in this preferred group?
1SA - HUD, Sports Seats, and 12 CD Changer were mandatory for me
7.) Last but not least, if you were unable to purchase a C5 with all of the above mentioned desireable options, would you have considered purchasing another car? If so, which make and model?
Nothing but a C5 Vette would do. Had a 68 back in the 70's and wanted a Nassau Blue C5 equiped with specific items. It took over four months to find the right Vette. But that was nothing, as I had been waiting for 30 years to get my perma-grin back!

*LAST MINUTE ADDITION: How big of a factor was the price? At what price (on the high end) would you have considered not purchasing the vehicle?
The price was not a biggie. I knew I could eventually find what I wanted for a somewhat reasonable price.

Well gang, all I have to say is WOW and THANK YOU!

Was never expecting 106 replies to this, but that's about triple what I was expecting / hoping for. Now, I just have to compile the results and get my presentation together. Once again, this further reinforces my belief that this forum is an awesome place filled with awesome people! This site is a wealth of information for C5 owners, and college kids like me who are crazy about Vettes!

Thanks again everyone, and I'll be sure to fill everyone in on Monday on my findings and how my presentation goes!
