I have been asked to do a very basic research project for one of my classes, and I've decided to do it on something I am passionate about: Corvettes I really need and appreciate everyone's input, so please bear with me for a few questions:

1.) What color is your C5? (exterior and interior)
2.) Would you have purchased it in any other color combinations? If so, which ones?
3.) Does your C5 have an automatic or manual transmission? Did this influence your purchase decision?
4.) Is your C5 a Coupe, Convertible, or Z06? Would you have purchased any of the other models besides the one that you have?
5.) Which suspension option do you have? (Standard, Z51, F45, F55) Would you have purchased the car with a different suspension?
6.) Which option group does your C5 have? (1SA, 1SB, 1SC) Would you have purchased the car without some of the options in this preferred group?
7.) Last but not least, if you were unable to purchase a C5 with all of the above mentioned desireable options, would you have considered purchasing another car? If so, which make and model?

*LAST MINUTE ADDITION: How big of a factor was the price? At what price (on the high end) would you have considered not purchasing the vehicle?

You need to make this easier on yourself and the participants...why don't you create a form or something somewhere that writes to a database?

But, I will answer questions here. Your just going to have a harder time compilying your data and getting good responses.

2. Yes...any.
3. MN6 Yes. Have to have.
4. Coupe. Yes, but no vert.
5. Standard. Yes, would have liked Z51.
6. 1SB. HUD was neccessity.
7. Nothing that would have been the same cost for buck except G35Coupe and even then I would have been screwed on the HP.

Manual - I was ONLY considering manual trans

Coupe. I would have bought a FRC if I could have found one....and still wish I would have spent the extra cash to get a Z06

F45. Would have liked Z51 or Z06.

1SB. That's my minimum....would have liked to get 1SC for the HUD.

7.) Last but not least, if you were unable to purchase a C5 with all of the above mentioned desireable options, would you have considered purchasing another car? If so, which make and model?
Nope. This is not a DD or "just transportation".....I was specifically C5 Corvette shopping.

 

1) Mil Yellow/Black.
2) Would have considered other interior colors (ie gray or oak), but MY was a must.
3) Manual. It was a must-have option for me.
4) Coupe. Originally wanted a convertible, but settled on this car.
5) Base. Z51 was preferable to me, but not a must-have item.
6) 1SC. and yes, I could live w/o some of the fluff.
7) No, I wanted a C5 ever since they came out. It was my realistic dream car, and didn't consider or want anything else.

6.) Which option group does your C5 have? (1SA, 1SB, 1SC) Would you have purchased the car without some of the options in this preferred group? Loaded. HUD was a requirement for me.
7.) Last but not least, if you were unable to purchase a C5 with all of the above mentioned desireable options, would you have considered purchasing another car? If so, which make and model? Nope. It's vette or nothing.

2.) HAD to be Millenium Yellow, but would've considered Oak interior
3.) Manual tranny: must-have.
4.) Coupe: must-have.
5.) Z51 suspension- yes, I would have purchased with a different suspension.
6.) 1SC option- Would NOT have purchased car without some of the options in this preferred group.

4.) Is your C5 a Coupe, Convertible, or Z06? Would you have purchased any of the other models besides the one that you have? - Coupe. I love coupes, but I'd definitely take a Z06 instead.

Corvette only..anything else, might as well be a minivan.

Convertible - considered a coupe, in fact thought that was what I wanted until I drove the convertible!

Base suspension with aftermarket upgrades. Suspension was not a consideration when I bought - but would be now. Have to be Z51.

1SB - wish it had a few more optional items. Would not have gotten less.

There is no other car that matters! It was a Corvette or nothing. I would sacrafice some options, but not sacrafice the Corvette.

2: I originally was looking for triple black but this one looked too sweet to pass up.

4: Z06/The only one that could get me out of this is a C6 Z06 and only due to performance. I like the look of the C5 body better.
5: Z06 (not sure had maxed out options for a 2003 Z06)
6: Same as 5 I'm at work and would need to go home and check all the codes.
7: No, I only wanted the highest performance avaliable to me. (At the price range) And the C6 Z06 wasn't out then C5 Z06 was top dog.
