1.) What color is your C5? (exterior and interior)

Black exterior, black interior.

2.) Would you have purchased it in any other color combinations? If so, which ones?

Blue, Mag Red, or Green; no other interior color.

3.) Does your C5 have an automatic or manual transmission? Did this influence your purchase decision?

Manual, and I only wanted a manual

4.) Is your C5 a Coupe, Convertible, or Z06? Would you have purchased any of the other models besides the one that you have?

Convertible. Only considered verts.

5.) Which suspension option do you have? (Standard, Z51, F45, F55) Would you have purchased the car with a different suspension?

Standard. Didn't really factor into the decision, so maybe.

6.) Which option group does your C5 have? (1SA, 1SB, 1SC) Would you have purchased the car without some of the options in this preferred group?

1SA

7.) Last but not least, if you were unable to purchase a C5 with all of the above mentioned desireable options, would you have considered purchasing another car? If so, which make and model?

First Corvette purchase, so I really was only looking at Corvettes. Nothin' better than the flagship of American sports cars!

1.) Black/Black
2.) Black interior was a must however I would have settled on silver or red exterior.
3.) Manual transmission – real men shift their own gears! This was a must.
4.) My C5 is an FRC however when I was shopping for C5’s I really wanted a coupe. Now I prefer the FRC hands down. I did not want a convertible.
5.) My FRC has the Z51 package - I wanted a coupe with the Z51 but it wasn't really a deciding factor.
6.) I don’t know which option group I have – I do have HUD and dual climate though. HUD was a must, it’s just so damn cool – I could have lived without the dual climate.
7.) I’m afraid not, after test driving a few C5’s I couldn’t imagine spending my hard earned money on anything else. Originally I was looking at LS1 Camaros but like I said, after driving a few C5’s the choice was clear.

1.) What color is your C5? (exterior and interior)
Lemans Blue exterior, Shale interior

2.) Would you have purchased it in any other color combinations? If so, which ones?
I considered ordering a black C5 with a gray interior until i saw a black and LeMans Blue side by side. Scatches showed up more on the black Corvette.

3.) Does your C5 have an automatic or manual transmission? Did this influence your purchase decision?
I considered Automatic only due to a left foot injury.

4.) Is your C5 a Coupe, Convertible, or Z06? Would you have purchased any of the other models besides the one that you have?
Coupe, I like the coupe body style. I would not have considered a FRC or Converible.

5.) Which suspension option do you have? (Standard, Z51, F45, F55) Would you have purchased the car with a different suspension?
F55, I like the ability to alter the ride as conditions merit. I would not have considered any other suspension.

6.) Which option group does your C5 have? (1SA, 1SB, 1SC) Would you have purchased the car without some of the options in this preferred group?
ISC, no to the other groups, I like a fully loaded car.

7.) Last but not least, if you were unable to purchase a C5 with all of the above mentioned desireable options, would you have considered purchasing another car? If so, which make and model?
No, I was looking to buy my first Corvette.

Standard. Yes, if the color combo was right.

No, I was specifically looking for a Corvette.

1. Torch Red, light oak interior
2. no
3. MN6
4. Coupe no
5. Standard no
6. ISA (my two options were polished aluminum wheels and side body moldings)
7. 03 S.S. Camaro MN6

Price was not a consideration. I retired and had a big sick leave buy out so I had the money ( and I sold my 97 Z-28 Camaro MN6). Also my dealer gave me a discount on the 03, I have dealt with them for years and have sent many people to them over the years. I ordered mine the way I wanted it. I also went to Bowling Green and followed it down the line and got to do the first start of my vette. I live in Louisville, KY so Bowling Green is only about 110 miles away.

1. Torch Red/Black
2. I might have considered others, but TR/BL is what I was after.
3. A4. Having size 18/4E shoes, I gave up playing with the extra pedal a long time ago.
4. Coupe. Wouldn't have chosen another type as my only vette. I'm so tall that I don't have any clearance in a vert with the top up. And a removable roof was a requirement for me.
5. Came with standard. I have since upgraded it. So, yes, I would have bought it with a different suspension.
6. 1SC. I wanted all of the goodies, so, no, I wouln't have considered others.
7. I was considering other cars until I took a look at the vette. From then on, it was vette or nothing.

5) Base. Z51 was preferable to me, but not a must-have item.
6) 1SC. and yes, I could live w/o some of the fluff.
7) No, I wanted a C5 ever since they came out. It was my realistic dream car, and didn't consider or want anything else.

WHITE/BLACK
2.) Would you have purchased it in any other color combinations? If so, which ones?
YES - No preference actually
3.) Does your C5 have an automatic or manual transmission? Did this influence your purchase decision?
MN6 - it "mostly" influenced my decision, but i would have settled for an auto for the right deal

FRC - yes, i REALLY wanted a vert
5.) Which suspension option do you have? (Standard, Z51, F45, F55) Would you have purchased the car with a different suspension?
Don't know - if i remember, i'll get back to you
6.) Which option group does your C5 have? (1SA, 1SB, 1SC) Would you have purchased the car without some of the options in this preferred group?
again, don't know - but if i remember, i'll get back to you

NEVER!

*LAST MINUTE ADDITION: How big of a factor was the price? At what price (on the high end) would you have considered not purchasing the vehicle?
Price is always key - however, spent a little more than i would have liked to- but i couldn't pass up the deal i got!

1. Triple black
2. only wanted black
3. auto, I spend 2 hours a day in traffic, hence the decision for a slush box
4. vert, don't care for coupes
5. z51
6. didn't really care too much about those options
7. didn't want any other cars besides the vette, already had an SL500 and a 911

Price wasn't a factor, it was more about finding the car that felt best for me.

Here are my answers for you:

1. Original was Pewter with black. Now it is pewter with mod red.
2. Yes (Electron Blue with torch red)
3. Manual. Yes - definitely wanted a manual tranny.
4. Coupe. Yes - FRC or Z06.
5. Standard. Perhaps, maybe the Z51.
6. 1SB.I think.
7. No. Wanted a C5 or nothing.
8. It was a moderate factor. I got a great deal on mine, but if it were say $5K more, I would have said no.

1) Black / Black
2) Yes, TR or MY
3) A4 and yes it influenced my decision
4) Vert. Had to have the Vert.
5) Z51. Yes as they are fairly easy to upgrade if what I got didn't perform the way I wanted it to
6) 2000 only had the 1SA Base Equipment Group. But all body styles had that same group. My car has everything save the 12 CD disk changer and the F45 Selective suspension.
7) No. It was a Vette or nothing.
8) Naturally, price is always a part of the equation for me and I ended up paying a little more than my initial limit but couldn't pass up on the deal.

[QUOTE=MeHeartCorvettes]I have been asked to do a very basic research project for one of my classes, and I've decided to do it on something I am passionate about: Corvettes I really need and appreciate everyone's input, so please bear with me for a few questions:

1.) What color is your C5? (exterior and interior)
Mag Red/Oak
2.) Would you have purchased it in any other color combinations? If so, which ones?
Silver/black
3.) Does your C5 have an automatic or manual transmission? Did this influence your purchase decision?
MN6 must have
4.) Is your C5 a Coupe, Convertible, or Z06? Would you have purchased any of the other models besides the one that you have?
Coupe, might have considered a vert
5.) Which suspension option do you have? (Standard, Z51, F45, F55) Would you have purchased the car with a different suspension?
F55 must have
6.) Which option group does your C5 have? (1SA, 1SB, 1SC) Would you have purchased the car without some of the options in this preferred group?
1SB must have
7.) Last but not least, if you were unable to purchase a C5 with all of the above mentioned desireable options, would you have considered purchasing another car? If so, which make and model?
I considered Porsche 911, BMW M3

*LAST MINUTE ADDITION: How big of a factor was the price? At what price (on the high end) would you have considered not purchasing the vehicle?
Price was deciding factor. I would not buy a vette at MSRP or above. 5k under MSRP is fair, I bought 10k under, great deal.

Thank you everyone for your time. This is definitely my kind of homework Hope you guys have fun with it and are looking forward to seeing the results as much as I am.
