Default Practically Stealing It!!!

Base regular in Illinois near St Louis is $1.99 a gallon. Amoco premium is $2.22. Should I send a donation to the oil companies now that they are giving gasoline away?

The big oil companies probably got their feelings hurt having to lie to a congressional committe about their RAPING the consumer during he hurricanes.

It is out of guilt now, that they are selling gas at a 'loss'.

I know there are certain things that will sometimes cause gas to rise SOME, but Big Oil companies almost feel they have a license to steal. They are well known for gouging the American people. I am glad to see the prices have dropped, but prices now are probably the cheapest you are going to see them.

I remember a few years back when gas first passed $2 and everybody FREAKED!
With gas companies posting record setting profits, its an insult to the public that we are happy when prices near $2/gallon.
How about a few free fillups for vettes to celebrate the holidays? THAT would make me a happy customer!

My uneducated guess is that they will go a little lower but I don't think we will see $1.25 again. Who knows?

what amazes me is how fast the price of gas RISES when something comes up - whether it will effect the current production or not - after katrina, the refineries were back up to speed 3 days later - so why is it that gas is still high after what - 2 months?
the prices should fall just as fast as they rise in "crisis" situations!

It went down to $1.89/gallon in my hometown last night. I feel so bad about paying that low of a price.

Saw it @ $1.93 for 87 this morning. Bet it will jump before the day is out. Lots of driving this weekend - don't want the Oil Co. to miss out!

$1.84 for regular unleaded and $2.04 for super in Conway, Arkansas. That's about the same as a year ago around here.
