Welcome. I also drive my 2000 coupe year round. We also have an 01 vert and a 66 coupe, but they only come out in nice weather. I try not to take the 2000 to work if I think a bunch of new snow is going to fall that day. Last year there was a day on which 6 inches of drifting snow fell while I was at work. My husband followed me home in his 4WD truck. At first I was amazed at how well it was getting through the drifts, and I started to get confidant. But then I had to stop completely for a telephone repair truck. Maybe the tires had warmed up a bit. When I started moving again, I only gave it the slightest amount of gas (its an automatic), but the rear end came loose immediately and swung to the right. After that, I started praying all the way home. Got to the bottom of the driveway and got so stuck that the neighbors had to come and push it into the garage. I have all-season Continentals. I hope your tires do better in snow. (I wonder if any tires this wide can do ok in snow?) Good luck, and enjoy your vette.
Welcome to the Forum!! When there is snow on the ground, leave the Vette home!!! It's not only the handling of the Vette, it's also other "crazy" drivers out there!!
