New-Bee
I want to introduce myself. I have been lurking for a while, gathering info, and recently registered, to begin posting.
I bought a 1999 6spd Coupe about 3 weeks ago. The car is awesome. I always wanted a 'vette since I was a little kid, and now I have one! Its just as great as I thought it would be (maybe better!).
The car is bone stock, but from what I've read and heard around here, my first mod will be the CLB. From there, it will depend on the money available, and whether or not I can convice the wife to let me spend it!
I'm located in Harford County, MD - I am interested in finding a club in the area to become a member of - though I'm not even sure if they do anything in the winter time.
It seems that there are alot of vette owners that refuse to drive their car in the rain or snow, but I will be driving mine year round in all but the worst of icey conditions. I have Goodyear M+S snow tires that will be going on either this week or next, but any other suggestions from anyone who also drives in the snow would be great.
I look forward to learning alot more than I already have, and also meeting some fellow vette owners.

There are at least a couple that I am aware of in your area. The Bel Air Club is probably the closest and there is the Mason-Dixon club in your area too. A little further away (Catonsville-meetings) is the Free State Club which puts on the Ocean City Weekend every year. I belong to that one even though I live in Frederick (I'm also a member of a much smaller club in Frederick County).
Let me know if you are interested in the Free State club and I can get you the particulars.

These cars can get away from even very experienced drivers VERY quickly. (See post on Stusvette)
