I think that you are on the right track with the clutch switch.
There should be a switch somewhere down by the clutch pedal that only allows the starter to crank when the clutch is depressed. It's like the neutral saftey switch on automatic cars.
well theres a little black button that is pressed when you push in the clutch, i can see that, but i went to the auto parts store and they brought me some wacky looking part that didnt look anything like the switch down there. i was wondering if it was called anything different, or if anyone could generate a part number maybe.
I have two things it could be. Either your ignition cylinder is worn and not reading your passkey, or you have a bad ground. I sent you a PM and have a few questions.
alright gents, i took the dash apart and checked the ignition cylinder, it IS reading the key properly, at the right resistance. so, next step.....
where are any and all grounds that i could check?
thanks again,
rob
Are you getting any codes?
Right below the battery box are the next ones to check. There are 3 that come together at that point. Look in the driver's side opposite the ones under the battery box. I would also check your battery cables at the starter. Make sure they are tight.
