Hello everyone I was wondering if anyone could help me with the sport ride controls on my car. Out of all my C5's I have never had the suspension package. Can anyone clue me in on how to work this? Also can I lower the car without ruining this option? 99 F45 suspension.

With a little more info, someone here should be able to assist you. By "sport ride controls", are you referring to the F45 Selective Real Time Damping system available for model years 1997 through 2002 or the F55 Magnetic Selective Ride Control available in model years 2003 and 2004? Knowing the model year of your car would be helpful too and you may want to update your profile with this info to include your vehicle type (coupe, vert etc.).
Whichever system you have, your owner's manual should provide information on its operation. If you do not have an owner's manual, you can get free on-line access to an electronic copy specific to your model year by going to https://www.mygmlink.com/ and registering. Registration is free also.
Thanks. I have the F-45 selective real time damping on a 99. IT has tha *** that says sport ride touring and something else I cant rememberf. I remember holding the traction control button down for 5 seconds and competitive driving coming on. Now when I turn the **** to sport, is it supposed to say "sport" ? Hope this helps and yes I will update my info.
The Competitive Driving Mode is part of the Active Handling System which made its debut in model year 1998 and it is separate from the F45 selective real time damping system:
To my knowledge, when you switch between the ride modes of the F45 system, no message displays in the DIC, but I'll let others here who actually have this system answer your questions on this system.
