And, I have even used olive oil, too. Hang in there. Tree sap is a "beotch" to remove, especially if left to set and harden far too long. Good luck to you.
Im new to the Vettes I've only recently heard about Zaino... I haven't even had the car a year yet, that and still being young, mortgage and all that good stuff, $300 a tire and GM quoting me $1000 for an EBCM I think $100 zaino kits might have to wait until I get a real job 3 stripes in the Air Force only pays so much
Even though I stopped using Zaino, I can't say that it's any more expensive than many of the other better waxes/sealants, and it's actually cheaper than some. Whatever brands of detailing products that you use, you will probably eventually find that you will have accumulated a similar grouping of products as the various kits provide, and will have spent roughly the same amount of money.
I just got some 2 month old tree sap off my hood and rear window with some Turtle Wax Bug and Tar remover.......worked perfect, I was actually surprised at how easy it came off. (they should be paying me for this add)
I use mguires... All I need is wash, and wax... I look at Zaino's products and there is a whole line of stuff that all says it does the same thing it seems like...
5 different car polishes, I wouldnt know where to start with, 2 different gloss enhancers, 2 leather cleaners, a metallic stick and $100 later I figure them out... That's my only reservation... I really want to try them out, but I don't know which polish to buy (for clear coat or not for clear coat) and what not...
So I stick with what I know until I can stop dumping money into my Talon
If you're happy with what you have, then there is no reason to switch. I've experimented with quite a number of different waxes and sealants over the years, and once I find something that I like, I don't usually like to change unless I see some results that I really like. I've used One Grand's Blitz Wax on my Corvettes for a number of years now, and haven't found any other product that would make me want to switch. The Corvette, however, is not my daily driver.
I used Zaino on my daily drivers for a couple of years, but I became unhappy with it earlier this year, and now I'm experimenting with a couple of other waxes/sealants (Mother's Reflections and Griot's Paint Sealant). Whatever wax I use, I like to use the same company's detailer. I'm usually not quite as picky with the wash that I use, though I did stick with the Zaino wash when I was using Zaino.
I suddenly realize that I'm wandering a bit off subject here, so I'll stop!
