That's a beautiful engine. Is the part that the wipers sit on a separate piece that can be removed to paint it? I think it looks great painted and where did you get the chrome wipers and how much? The chrome wiper on the black plastic would not look good , but if painted it looks great!

Yes, the cowl panel is easily removed. Just remove the wiper arms, and the 5 push pin fasteners in the cowl tray, and it slides right out. You will have to remove the vent screen and the windshield rubber seal before painting it. I didn't totally remove the seal, just pried it off the edge of the cowl, folded it over on the backside, and masked if off. Once painted, I popped the seal back on over the cowl lip, and reglued the screen in place.
