I had Kooks 1-7/8", X-pipe,and hi-flow cats put on at MTI in May and gained 25 rwhp from the Kooks and another 10 from a conservative dyno tune. Total with Blackwing and B&B PRTs is 345 rwhp and 362 rwtq. And, it sounds great, at least I and quite a few others think so.

I have a 99 FRC and went the following route. Long yes but it list track times that are more of a gauge of performance.

First was Blackwing, and ported MAF ends. This netted 317RWHP and 321RWTQ.

Second I added an LS6 intake. This netted 323RWHP and 329RWTQ. Since you have an O4 you already have the LS6 intake.

Third I added LT Headers with Random cats and an X-pipe. Sorry no dyno numbers.

Fourth I changed from a Blackwing to a Vararam. no dyno numbers.

Fifth I added a cam Thunder Racing 230/224, 575/563 on a 111LSA.
Agian, sorry no dyno numbers, but see below.

Non engine performance items include Goodyear F1GSD3's, B&M Ripper short throw shifter, Raptor shift light and for track use BFG DR's

Best time with only a Blackwing and Ripper was 13.2@106MPH 60' time was a slow 2.18 (still had runflats on).

Best with Blackwing, Ripper, and Goodyear F1GSD3's was 12.94@106MPH 60' time was 2.05.

Best with Blackwing, Ripper and BFG DR's was 12.60@110MPH 60' time was 1.80.

Best with Blackwing, Ripper and BFG DR's and LT headers was 12.45@109MPH. 60' time was 1.81.

Best with Vararam, Ripper and BFG DR's and LT headers was 12.20@112MPH. 60' was 1.81.

Best with Vararam, Ripper and BFG DR's and LT headers and cam was 12.15@115MPH with a 1.95 60'. Also to note the clutch went bye bye during this track session.

Thats it. For my 2 cents I would get LT's to start with. As you can see Modding can get out of hand .

What's your gear situation looking like? Slapping in some 4.10 gears will provide far more of a SOTP feel than the headers. The headers, however, will make the car sound more "throaty".
