Default Service?

Hey guys, not to long ago I had my oil changed, I believe it was at like 16k miles or something. Now I have had the car since the 12k mile mark. I now have 17,900 miles on my 03 z06. What I am wondering is when should I get a full service from the dealer or should I not get a service at all. Like could someone give me a guide for when certain things should be changed or serviced??? I would like yalls opinions because I just do not trust the dealer!!! Thanks a lot guys.

if your car is running perfect I would keep it away from the dealer until something goes wrong.

The answer to your question is in your owners manual.

If you really want ot do something you might consider changing the tranny fluid and rear end fluid.

Check the search for the details and fluid preferences.

I've had my car since the 4K mark and have done only the fluid changes and spak plug change. I'm now at 29K.

Otherwise, if its running good, why mess with a good thing?

You don't need to change the tranny fluid for a good while but you can easily change oil and filter yourself and know that it has been done right and also that nothing else has been done to mess up your pride and joy

All the recommended service intervals should be listed in the section on Maintenance Schedule of your owner's manual. If you do not have an owner's manual, you can get free access to an on-line (digital) manual for your specific model year by going to https://www.mygmlink.com/ and registering. Registration is also free. Good luck.

Change your oil once a year or when the DIC tells you to.

You just keep changing your oil on time and there's no reason to see a dealer unless you are having a problem. No need to fix what ain't broken.

3k miles on oil. It wont hurt anything, and you will know the oil is in top shape. My oil is so clean, it's hard to read it on the dip stick.
