Default The lightest battery?

I'm going to need a new battery before the winter is out, so I thought I'd do my research before I get stranded. I love my Z06 and I'm all about adding lightness, so is there one battery in particular that provides a definitive weight advantage over the others?

I would get the AC delco Pro.series 6 or 7 yr. Never needs maint.and seems alittle lighter than the others. But a few extra lbs. will never be noticed--one less gal. of fuel

I run the odyssey PC-680 in the wife's car. I think it's 15# and they make a less dependable one which weighs only 13#.

I have used the Odyssey 925 on my old car (Supra) without any problems. It is 26 pounds. They will last a couple of years. Just don't let the car sit too long. I plan on doing this on the Z06 when my current battery goes. I would guess you would need to use a battery tender with a smaller battery like the 680.

Edit : I guess it matters which yellow top you choose

You could also consider the LPE rear battery relocator.

Takes the weight of the battery from the front, and adds it to the rear well, where it'll actually benefit traction.

Just a thought.
