They static cling on. I never had much luck with keeping them on and close up they really didn't look that good - IMHO.
Take 'em off before you wash it also.
Good luck!

PM me with your address and I'll send you my old blacked out acrylic lens for the four tail lights. Mine are flush mounted and they didn't look good either. Ended up tint spraying them along with the center brake light and side markers.

That was my experience too. I was using the fronts only. I now use the molded acrylic versions in front and they are much better.

Just throw the vinyl in the trash. A few good hours of direct sun and they warp and will never look good or go back on. That is if you get them to stay on. I purchased the better quality plastic covers and those would work for most, but they still do not look perfect. I had every light on the car sent to be transparent powdercoated and I hope that does the trick.

I have used the cling-ons with good luck. Put the shinny side down and mine have been on 6 months, and get washed all the time.

I had mine on for about a year before taking them off. They seemed to stay on ok, even through rainstorms and car washes. I threw mine away though, just didnt like the look of them at all. I plan to get the plastic smoked coverups eventually.

No problem on mine except when I removed them and now you can see where every one of those little holes were. Water spots I guess and wont come off!

I've had the vinyl ones on my car for nearly 4 years without problem. I like the flat black look better than the shine of acrylic pieces. Before you install them make sure the lenses are clean and dry. I also rubbed the back side of the vinyl pieces on a cloth to build up the static. Enjoy them.

I have had them on for a long time. I like the look. A little water and dish soap in a spray bottle, just like putting a decal on something. I take them off every couple of months to clean the lenses.

Yes, that's basically what I did to install mine, however I didn't rub them on my hair. At this point in my life, my hair is becoming a precious commodity.

I think LANZ06's suggestion will work equally as well.

Has anybody purchased the acrylic ones off of ebay? I've seen some good feedback on the guy, but he mostly sells LED side markers for motorcycles and stuff like that. He also has a set that the actual DRL part is cut out...it looks different, but almost seems pointless. Thoughts?
