My '99 started having this problem a few weeks ago, but had been fine for the two previous years that I have owned it.
I have not tried adjusting the top (yet) but initial attempts to coax the top to fold up tighter to avoid the scraping were useless.

This problem started when GM went to the 5 layer soft top in I believe 2001. thats why prior verts dont have the problem.

I agree. I've been trying to figure out what they're talking about too. I have no rubbing of any kind that I've seen. I also have a Y2K.

I think the problem comes from GM going to heavier top material for 2001 and up.
