Been in the garage all day looking it over. Got all winter to work on it. You're right, the weather must be there. We don't live too far away.
Jake T. Is there any other color than red??
Went and looked at your photos...very nice....Do you do any vette shows in Mass?

Jake,
Yep, you'll see the redlion at many of the eastern and southeastern shows. Check out the Northeast section come spring time and we generally post who, what, when and where.
The first day I got my C5 was one of the best. The last Vette I owned before that was a '72 in '74. After 30 years of wondering whether or not I would ever own another Vette my turn came in 2004. I am happy for you. Enjoy.

Yeah, me too. After we bought an 01 torch vert brand new, i felt like it really belonged to my husband. And I was afraid to drive 'his' baby. Then last year, I got the 2000 dark bowling green coupe as my daily driver. I couldn't believe I finally had a vette of my own again. (I had a 77 many years ago.) I kept going out to the garage in the middle of the night to turn on the light and look at it. I just couldn't believe it was real. Since then my husband bought a dark blue 66 coupe, which was a car he lusted for in his high school days. So we both go out to the garage in the middle of the night to look at our 3 'babies'.
enjoy your vette - and torch is the best color in my opinion, with the yellow a close second. Have fun, fun, fun.

Funny you should say that. I experienced the same thing. My first vette was a '69 stingray brand new. Once the second baby came a long it was bye, bye to that car. Never thought I'd own another....then I find a beautiful '87 coupe with 11k on it. Well, I'm sure this is the last one.....yesterday I brought home the '99...Is life great or what!!

I understand totally what you're talking about. I hardly slept for the last week waiting to pick this car up. Then I get it into the garage yesterday afternoon and made several trips to check it...I flip on the lights, stare for a few seconds, shut the lights off and head back upstairs. I made several more trips before bed last night. Well, I'm off to bed now, but wait....I need to go into the garage and flip on the lights one more time!!
Congrats on your new Vette! I know you will love it.
If you have run flats, it will say on the side of the Good Years, EMT, Extended mobility tire. I have a 2004 vette and still have the original EMT Good Years on it, so I cant say how new tires would ride. These tires dont really bother me except for the road noise, Like going from smooth asphalt to concrete pavement. It gets a loud roar on the concrete. I have had two flats so far and was lucky enough to be close to a good tire company to have the flats fixed without any damage to my wheels. If you do have a flat be very very careful who you have to change your wheel. A lot of tire places do not have anyone or the equipment to deal with aluminum wheels and will scratch the back inside of your wheel and then most likely you will be stuck with a scratched wheel because they are not going to buy you a new wheel. They scratched up mine and unless I took them to court I could never see getting a new wheel out of the jack *** at the tire company.
