I mounted mine in the water channel in the hatch area. That way it gets a 180 view of the sky.

I mounted the GPS antenna on top of the rear view mirror. It's supposed to need the metal mounting plate beneth it for reflected signals. I never had any problem with accuracy. the site on the mirror gives a clear view of the sky. I ran the wire along the top of the windscreen and down into the car via the side pillar.
I routed the reverse wire around the back of the glove box, up through the door post, along the door sill and up the rear door post, around the convertible top housing and through the rear side wall of the boot behind the carpet. I then drilled a small hole through the bulkhead into the rear bumper area and fed the wire through. To attach to the reversing light circuit you need to remove the number plate housing. The screws are obvious.
The most complex hook up is the VSS wire. The PCM is inside the passenger wheel well and you may need to jack up the car to access it. I managed by turning the wheel fully to the left. The access panel to the PCM needs to be removed. Make sure to remove the three screws underneath the car that are partially hidden from view.
I can send you a picture of the PCM. You will have to lie on your back and slide under the car to see this. PCM 2 is closest to you. On the 2000 Corvettes and up PCM, the VSS wire is c2 pin 50 and it is a green/white wire. You can see the pin number by squeezing the end of the grey cover and releasing the clip and moving the cover to the side. I used a crimp type connector to splice into this wire. There may be a wire inside the car but I've not found it yet.
i mounted my antenna on the underside of the rear 1/4 panel. (you can see it when you open the toneau cover) since our cars are made of 'plastic' we can get away with mounting them behind in side of the car

Here's a pic of the antenna on the mirror. The pic is taken from below so you see a "bottom flash". At eyeline its less obvious and you really don't notice it. The mic for my voice control, VCD01, is right next to it.
I mounted my antenna on top of the rear bumper. Just remove the brake light for access to the top of the bumper. I drilled a hole through the fiberglass tub, for the antenna wire to pass.

thanks for the info did you just stick it to the inside top? upside down?
The top of the bumper has a steel alloy in it. So, the magnetic reflector "sticks" to it. I placed the magnetic reflector on top of the bumper, then placed the GPS antenna on top of the reflector. The magnet is strong enough that I didn't use any other means to install the antenna.
