Out of curiosity, what do you guy's run? I'm in TX where it stays warm most of the time but right now it's in the high 30's.
I try to run 30psi but with the temp. up and down its hard to maintain that in the winter especially. I go by the old rule of thumb, one pound of air pressure for each 10 dg of temp. In other words, if you put 30psi in at 70 dg. it will be 29psi at 60 dg. And vice versa.
Don't know what brand tires you have, but you will find most responses will say run what is written on the jam of the drivers door. I would say high 30's is too high and may show early center tire wear. I know your tires probably say they can carry a max of 60 lbs, but that's only when pulling a fifth-wheel trailer loaded with rocks. Anything over 40 will upset your vette sensors. I've also read that you get best tire mileage in the low 30's. Lastly, I've heard track racers will inflate to higher pressures but only for race handling... for distance and wear they inflate lower.
I start at 30psi cold on my '99. Got ~40K miles on the run farts before replacing them with GSD3s this year. Max pressure I ever saw hot was 34psi. That was after 10 laps on the road course at TMS.
I need to adjust mine, the dang alarm drove me crazy this morning, mine have gone down to 23-24...........it just got cold here, so looks like I will be stopping on the way home......
