On the way in to work this morning in a snowstorm (it was coming down pretty good) I saw a C6 spun out facing the wrong way on a major road. At first I said it couldn't be (couldn't see that far in the storm) but than sure enough there it was, a brand spanking new, beautiful silver C6 spinning the wheels (trying to get over a highway overpass) but not moving forward an inch. Kinda felt bad driving by, but there wasn't much I could do to help this lunatic. I was driving the wife's Outback and I was a little nervous driving in that crap. This guy couldn't get the car up over a highway overpass (elevation gain of maybe 20 ft). This guy was going to get himself and possibly someone else killed. Commen sense is dead.

Why weren't you on the ZX-11? You could have joined him. I don't understand it either. If you live where the winters are harsh (I do) and can afford a newer Vette, why not have a winter vehicle? I don't care if it "can be done". My safety is more important.
Yeah, when you steal a car, it's hard to drive slow and easy; people tend to get panicky. That's what I've HEARD anyway
I've been driving mine in the crappy weather we've been having in Colorado this week without any issues. If anything, it handles just as well as any other 2wd car if you apply a little common sense (which is for the most part, as you state...dead!). I won't ever be that Audi that goes up the ski jump, but don't let the car fool you, it is VERY driveable. Be safe out there folks, especially around the airports!
i got stuck on a sidestreet last night, the street was arched so i started sliding towards the curb and finally stuck... i was meeting a couple of friends at a bar so I had them come by and push me out
In point of FACT,..............The Corvette does have some serious tecnical disadvantages for bad weather conditions,.........Wide tires on the ICE and snow are much worse, than any other tire the super light rear end is much more likely to turn into the front end right in front of your eyes and the amazing (in dry conditions) power to weight ratio is a serious disadvantage in no traction conditions HOWEVER I have found that there are ALWAYS people who have more money than brains and in their special case it realy doesnt matter when they drive their car! They can always just buy another one

Was up at Vail for a long Memorial day weekend, the year before. Rain storm turned into a snow storm, we were driving over Vail pass in a blizzard and it was sticking to the road. There was over two inches by the time we hit the top of the pass and also going up to Eisenhower tunnel it was the same. Just took it easy and didn't have one problem.
Wouldn't do it if I didn't have to, but now I don't worry about it either.

What somebody looks stupid! Common sense or not,,,,,,,No they don't,,,,, any thing is better than a vette in the snow, A friggn toyota blows you away on any snow
Where do they get them?
Don't even tell me, You can go through more than 4 inches
This is my 8th Michigan winter in the C5 with 99% of days driven to work....had the M&S's for a few years now which definately help. The C5 is a very capable winter vehicle up to about 5 inches.
