HI. I bought my first corvette 2001 coupe yellow (19000 miles) last year and car fax revealed 4 owners (last one was Carmax) Carmax does a 125 point inspection though. You would be smart paying the extra cash for this! I have not had any problems... I think you have to take your chances a little. It more depends on what the drivers were doing, or not doing.....

I have 60 percent tread left on the original eagles. Since my car is an auto maybe it wasn't gotten on as much as a zo6. my wife can't drive a stick. but i couldn't afford the car without her. Hey I am not one of these rich guys with a large garage and money to burn... I would worry like you though about who was running that car before me though. Could you easily afford a major engine problem after purchasing the car?? If so, take your chances. Are you going to buy an extended warranty? I have one through Carmax that cost me about 1200 bucks for 4 years and 48000 miles...I have only put 2000 miles on the car in about a year, looks like I am going to lose money... but I can sleep knowing if a cam breaks next weekend that I am not out more than a 50 dollar deductible.

to me that sounds like a fair price. Hopefully someone with a recent purchase of a z06 will chime in here... I am out of bounds. I bought my coupe (mint condition, except for the tires) for 30999 a little over a year ago with 19000 miles. But prices have really dropped. From what I have read and seen, that is a good/fair price today. Don't bother trying to guess from ebay...everyone wants something for free. That car was like what 49000 new???? If they want 28500 with that amount of miles that is 20000 off for 22000 miles of wear. If it was well taken care of that sounds like a good deal to me..... Someone else can help you more than me who has just bought one! Maybe you could repost this question in the zo6 section bro if you don't get a response here
