Look, bro. I tell everyone the same thing in this situation find the car write down the vin come back to the fourm have someone that can run it for you (carfax) THEN,........pay a good chevy mechanic $100 to just look at it and you wont be sorry,.........ALL will be revieled
I already had the carfax done and it came out totally fine the only thing that bothered me a bit was that i would be the 4th owner of a 02 idk if thats comon or not its a 02 zo6 with about 22,000 miles
HI. I bought my first corvette 2001 coupe yellow (19000 miles) last year and car fax revealed 4 owners (last one was Carmax) Carmax does a 125 point inspection though. You would be smart paying the extra cash for this! I have not had any problems... I think you have to take your chances a little. It more depends on what the drivers were doing, or not doing.....
i am not sure for some reason i belive they were replaced recently ya i do realise that its a used car and you are taking a chance i just wanted to make sure its a good chance to be taking thank you for the insight
I have 60 percent tread left on the original eagles. Since my car is an auto maybe it wasn't gotten on as much as a zo6. my wife can't drive a stick. but i couldn't afford the car without her. Hey I am not one of these rich guys with a large garage and money to burn... I would worry like you though about who was running that car before me though. Could you easily afford a major engine problem after purchasing the car?? If so, take your chances. Are you going to buy an extended warranty? I have one through Carmax that cost me about 1200 bucks for 4 years and 48000 miles...I have only put 2000 miles on the car in about a year, looks like I am going to lose money... but I can sleep knowing if a cam breaks next weekend that I am not out more than a 50 dollar deductible.
no i dont have money to burn lol my dad has a 67 and i have always loved vettes since i was little the c5 is to me what his c2 is to him we are getting them close to the same poin in our lives and so as far as money goes i have it to buy this car but would not be looking forward to large bills i have thought about the waranty as you have i guess i am just wondering what all of you think as far as taking it to a dealer to have it looked at could that catch any big problems for me before i bought the car and also its a 02 zo6 22,000miles and its going for 28500 what do all of you think thank you once again
to me that sounds like a fair price. Hopefully someone with a recent purchase of a z06 will chime in here... I am out of bounds. I bought my coupe (mint condition, except for the tires) for 30999 a little over a year ago with 19000 miles. But prices have really dropped. From what I have read and seen, that is a good/fair price today. Don't bother trying to guess from ebay...everyone wants something for free. That car was like what 49000 new???? If they want 28500 with that amount of miles that is 20000 off for 22000 miles of wear. If it was well taken care of that sounds like a good deal to me..... Someone else can help you more than me who has just bought one! Maybe you could repost this question in the zo6 section bro if you don't get a response here
